About this site
Science is astonishing even from an artistic point of view. All the pictures appearing at Science is Beauty could be shown, by own merit, in a modern art museum. How this is not the case and neither is possible, this site has been created so anyone can admire a bunch of beautiful scientific pictures and concepts, whether you are in the world of science or not.
Usually I pay attention avoiding copyright infringements, but you know, sometimes… if you own any of the images who are featuring here, and you would like to see it removed or something, please let me know and I’ll take care of it, likely on the fly.
Science is Beauty was born in the beginning of 2010 in Tumblr as my extra blog here. My target was (and is) posting the kind of scientific pictures who lead to see the science as something beautiful. I’ve tried that, while showing the intrinsic beauty of the images, say from an artistic way, also meeting two main objectives:
- No embarrass science readers. People specialized in some degree in any of items should see eye to eye with what they are reading beneath or even go further through the links provided.
- Sources and credits are and will be always visibles and linked to the original site.
I hope I have achieved the objectives..
Thanks you all
Science is Beauty. Science is Art. Science is Science
In September 2011, crossing the barrier of 15,000 followers and hundreds of thousands of hits, I’ve changed slightly the site, I’ve also improved some things, and I’m planning a few others improvements.
One of the changes that you can see is the existence of ads, and my membership in amazon.uk and amazon.us … I hope this will help me make up for the many hours I spend on this blog. I hope it does not cause misunderstandings, and you all understand my motives.
Another minor change is the logo of Science is Beauty, you can see where it comes in my digital workshop, Scien2artS.
Thanks you all.
