Maxwell's Equations & Light

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:3

Here is one of the first things who made me to fall in love with physics. Starting with the Maxwell’s Equations, making some mathematical tricks, and considerate the empty space, we arrive to the well known and venerable “wave equation”. Now the velocity of propagation of this wave is Vp = 1/(µ0ε0)1/2  and when making the calculation, we obtain exactly the speed of light in the vacuum. Can you see the magic and the implications of this result? As the author of this article says:

“These equations and this result are some of the greatest triumphs of science. It’s difficult to conceive of much more impressive physics, but I’m an optimist. Physics is not yet out of surprises.”
