The boxes are not the same color. The /center/ of the boxes are the same color, but they have different shading, aliasing, and lighting. This is a misleading "illusion".

Of course, you are right… But nobody would say the center of the boxes are the same color anyway, so in some way it’s a illusion, well, or half of a illusion. :)
