The 2014 Bloggies. For second consecutive, the Best Education Weblog award goes to… Science is Beauty!!! A major motivation to continue with the blog, so… thank you all voters and friends!
Ahem! Speaking on universities, grades, etc… remember to vote (if you wish) Science is Beauty for the best education weblog in the bloggies 2014 (voting closes tomorrow 23-03-2014). And many many thanks to those who have already done or are about to do it.
(Cloud made with Tagxedo, using the blog url)
I am honored for the second consecutive time, as finalist for the fourteenth Weblog Awards, The 2014 Bloggies on the category Best Education Weblog.
It makes me really happy, and gives me great satisfaction that this humble blog can be recognized as a good educational blog, which can contribute with one more grain of sand on the honorable task of bringing science to all audiences (especially those who usually flee from it) around every corner of the planet.
Thanks to all who have voted for Science is Beauty, and even more thanks to those who vote for it in the finals. I love you all!

Q:Your blog is perfection.... What made you start it? What's the story of its inception? What's the inspiration behind it? How old is it?
Many thanks entropyofmymind!
It began about four years ago as my secondary blog in Tumblr (being the primary The Eclectikus Box). Soon this roles were exchanged as far Science is Beauty occupied 90% of my time on Tumblr, and still does.
The idea was, and is, to bring Science to the people who normally runs from it, mainly using the aesthetic power of its imagery. Everything indicates that this philosophy has been good and this blog has never stopped growing.
I read daily a lot of Science through the Internet, I suppose I have a good eye for selecting what fits the blog and what is not, moreover is a simple and rewarding task.
And this is the short story, the long story is not actually much lengthy. It’s that simple.
Science is Beauty turned 4 today!!!
Thank you all followers, fans, newcomers, casual visitors, recurring and compulsive visitors… and for everyone actually.
I’m preparing some new features for this season, so stay tuned… In the mean time, remember you can still vote for Science is Beauty for the Best Educational Blog for the 2014 Bloggies. And of course, if (and only if) you like, please follow the blog here in Tumblr, or even in Facebook.
Thank you all newcomers of the last few days (about six thousand people!!!), I hope you enjoy Science is Beauty as much as I enjoy doing it.
On the one hand is overwhelming, yet it is also very motivating to continue to keep the site alive and give my best to bring Science to as many people as possible, especially to those who do not approach it in a regular manner.
I hope to be a wonderful year for each one of you.

P.S. - And if you want, remember you can vote for the 2014 Bloggies (Science is Beauty opts to the best educational blog).
